long black train was awesome... i think that was his first big one. he's really talented and i think he also had bad voice problems (i heard on cmt one time) when he was younger.

well he is one of the relatevely newer (within last 5 years) that hasnt started out sounding pop. that counts for something in my book, country isnt country like it used to be.(heck early 90's was good) nashville star is partly to blame for pop country my ipod is packed with David allen coe, hank sr., hag, and the list goes on you get the idea. but i like most of turners stuff

I saw him live in concert two years ago at the Beaufort Water Festival in Beaufort, SC. He is now one of my favorite live performers
