What may seem excessive police action to some, is viewed as justified by others. It's one thing to do burnouts in the parking lot of your business, but it's another doing it on a city/town street. It’s the duty of the police “protect” and “serve” the public. If that means "serving" you in order to "protect" others from you, then so be it. As for the guy getting arrested, in some states, doing burnouts or speeding 25+ MPH over the posted speed limit is considered "reckless" driving and you can get arrested for it. If you ask me, the guy what he deserved. People complain how cops are paid too much, never do anything, are never around when you need, etc., well this cop was around and did do something- his job. Bottom line, the guy doing the burnouts was obviously breaking the law and got caught. Now he has to accept the consequences for HIS actions. The cop didn’t make him do it, so why bust his stones. Just my .02

I think what people moreso complain about is that the cops pick on people doin somethin as petty as a burnout, when there are murders and burglaries goin on.

I think there is more to the story for that one guy going to jail. If it was just for the burn out that would be at the most reckless driving. At least where I come from it would be.

True, I'll give ya that, but maybe there weren't any murders or burglaries going on while the burnout show was going on.....

cops are stupid. lesson to be learned here. a line em up and smoke em show should be done in a private parking lot with the consent of the owner of coarse.

we have a friday night cruise for hot august nights where all of the hot rods and muscle cars do a loop for a few hours and they have cops on bikes, morotcycles, foot, roof tops and cruising giving people tickets for burnouts, exhibition, speeding, etc. its ghey!
