I have never been a fan of the COT, well that is until today. I could try to explain the crash to you but it is easier to just show you.

WOW that was a nasty crash. Flipping over is actually good to absorb energy but the first hit was nearly head on. I think he was pretty lucky.

I think your right! Even if he didn't die he would have been broken up. Those new walls help a ton also!
