That is a golden oldie! I remember the first time I saw that (back in 2001), and when I still had my R1. There was a guy in Canada, at the time, that built turbo kits for the R1. From what I remember they were around 5k and included everything from the carbs to the exhaust tip. I was actually on the fence about buying one. Probably a good thing that I didn't, or I wouldn't be riding around in my psd, or even typing this post.

that's ridiculous. I like how they encountered the 50's era american car....not sure what it was....
