it does add up but we sell average 8000 litres a day that's 2105 gallons at say .12 a gallon that's $256.00 that's on a 14 hr day so 18.28 a hour minus operating cost power someones wage to be there... we make jack sh!t on gas really .. but most of the gas customers get their repairs done here and we make money on the stuff inside.. gas brings them in then once they are in the store or in the shop we make decent $$$
I didn't believe it until I got in the business 14 years ago.. it sucks
