how do i save movie to computer???

ok my video recorder burns the video onto a mini dvd which i can play on my computer.

my question is how do i save the movie from the dvd to the computer so I can upload it into youtub, myspace, photbucket, etc. so it can be posted on the org????

not to sound like a tard here but i have spent almost 4 house trying to finger out how to import the movie from the dvd to my computer and sh!t aint happening!
