Good enough for 2nd

Got a chance to pull my truck again on Saturday. Ran the stock 6000# and over class, there were 7 trucks pulled and I got second place with a pull of 276.84'. I managed to beat 3 newer duramaxes, one '06 CR dodge, and another stroke. The guy that beat me did it by almost 25' in a '79 Ford with a 94 cummins swapped in with an S4 turbo and a lot of other goodies. He was lifted and his hitch height was well over 30" too, but they didn't do any tech on the stock classes. So be it. It was a cool truck to watch. I was also the only guy there running on factory tires, everyone else had all terrains or MT's. I think that actually helped me a bit because I was able to keep my wheel speed up pretty good. All in all I'm very happy with my run, I know I was out powered by a couple of guys and still drove it good enough for 2nd.

yeah, I don't have a real video camera so I use my sony digital camera movie mode. Its ok but not the best when you're filming directly in to the sun...

It was a blast! I did a lot better than I thought I would considering the competition. The Dmax's and CR's are usually tough. 2nd thru 5th place were only separated by less than 5 feet.

You would have loved it Dave. Keep it in mind for next year around the same time. They said it was their "1st annual"... There were only 7 of us that pulled in the stock 600# over class, but there were between 20-25 trucks in the 8000# street diesel class alone. Those guys are fun to watch! There were A LOT of 600-700HP trucks, unfortunately only one of them was a ford...
