My 99 7.3 did NOT put out any visible smoke until I installed an exhaust kit that did not include a cat. Also, reverse the roles, I bet you wouldn't be crying foul about it if that was the case. Why would GM guy have a reason to lie? Ford guy wins, "great kill" .....but brand x wins and it's "(insert excuse here)"..........

yeah i know...its crazy...i cant believe i said he had 600 hp...oh wait...i didnt say it had 600hp...i said it wasnt stock...aftermarket exhaust = not stock...also...you stating the fact that yours didnt put out any visible smoke what so ever until you put exhaust backed up my point of it not being a stock truck...granted "alot of smoke" wasnt the most correct term to use there...but my point was the fact that that truck was NOT stock...

You're justifying calling the duramax non-stock because of either being straight piped or having an exhaust kit? You gain very little on a stock tuned truck by putting on an exhaust kit. So I'm real sure the extra 6 or 8 horses made all the difference in the world. Sure he didn't have 600 horses, but most everyone in this thread is acting like he did. All through here are a bunch of "excuses" for why either truck won or lost. Again, fact is that that stock tuned Duramax trucks have been known for being pretty quick and have the ability to hang with even modded trucks. Yes, Ford guy lost traction, showing he is a moron of a driver trying to build boost in 2wd on the street...what did he expect, but even when he did get going it appears that it would have been a coin flip in the end if he hadn't spun em. I acknowledge the fact the duramax could have had a tune, but it's just so unlikely. No one else can acknowledge the fact I've stated and restated.
