that my friend is a stock cam i no for a fact he was talkn about byn a cam from benn miller but he wasnt gonna do it till he tore it down over the winter. and its a p pump made custom from scheids that brad ingram built he had area diesel build him one and he stuck a plunger in his garage on the first start up. Knock on wood he hasnt had any problems with scheids pump.

I don't know, that is awful, awful lopey for a stock cam......

i know there was/is a discussion on this truck on TDG and the difference in timing between the HEUI and the p-pump make it rough to swap, which is why i doubt that is the stock cam.

BTW the truck was not over fueled at terre haute the turbo was trashed

There is a V-8 version of the venerable Bosch P-series injection pump. I don't know for sure what pump Zimmer or Ben Miller are using, however.

Depending on the cam timing, and how the injection pump is set up... a stock cam could lope like that.

But it isn't the "P-pump" that we are all so familiar with, which causes confusion.

the lopey sound is that they are putting so much fuel into the cylider it causes the engine to rev up when it is entered into the the cylinder and as it exits the the cylider de revs .

Miller uses an Mack E9 injection pump. At least thats what I've heard.

There are all different types of "P-pumps" four, six, eight, twelve cylinder pumps
Injection Pumps <- heres a bunch of pumps in here.
