anyone know where to find a cam for a 7.3 to make my truck sound just a lil more choppy. i dunno about choppy as that one cuz that one sounds lik it was hittin on only lik 1 or 2 cylinders or runnin for a second then shuttin off then runnin again. jus a lil bit of that would do for me.

Elite and Hypermax can get you a cam. Comp can also custom grind one for you.

It's not Heui either

Heres some pics of the engine. It would cost between 40-50K to build the engine

I agree with the cummins idea, Because you couldn't get the exhaust off of the turbo and routed out of the hood with a PSD. The turbo's too far back. The cummins is conveniently located on the side of the motor........right about where that guy's exaust exits.

I posted pics above...you could tell it was a PSD as soon as it started.

im not much of a COMP CAMS man myself. i wander if lunati can make one, ive had realy good luck with them. i looked at hypermax and i think thats just a stock com that been ground down more. unless there is a way to make the lobes bigger or with more duration i dont see how itll give more power or more lope in the idle.

I haven't heard too many heavily modified diesels; my guess was everyone elses for the 7.3, but actually being there vs. hearing over speakers is often hard for me to distinguish on the radical modified engines.

Engine has to be setup different than stock, Cummins or PSD because of where the guy sprayed the ether in the grill? Neither trucks have an air filter located right there except, the PSDs are somewhat close?

i too have had great luck with Lunati, but I I know Comp has done a lot of R&D on there diesel Cams of late.

I don't know how big you can go on a stock engine and not worry about piston to valve clearence and Valve train geometry. I will be able to post more on that next year.
