EGR delete Kit

I have had my 2005 F-350 for little less than a year and will be coming up on registration renewel here for the first time. Can anyone tell me what the process is for diesel emissions in Davis County? I really want to install an EGR delete kit but don't want to shoot myself in the foot over it when it comes time for registration renewel.

I'm not sure if they do a visual inspection under the hood. I know they check for the cat.
