Not Sure What to Do
I am in a prediciment. My truck is gettin close to 200k miles. I am not sure what to do. Whether i should try to look into gettin a newer truck or should i keep what i got. I am about to attend a college about 2 hours away from my family and i will be comin back and forth pretty often. I hate to say but the truck i am lookin at is a 2003 Dodge 2500 Crew Cab Long bed 2wd with 53000 miles and the Cummins engine. The guy is willin to trade with me and pay off the difference which would about 4 or 5 grand.... what do yall think?

Wait.... You have someone who is wiling to give YOU a 2003 Dodge for your 97 FORD with 200k miles AND he is willing to pay off the "difference" or YOU Have to pay him the difference? You're not very clear about what exactly the "deal" is going to be here. Give us some details... and then answer this question: If the deal is going to cost YOU 5 grand (which logically it SHOULD) can you afford to spend that money right now versus just spending a little bit at a time to keep your truck running. (if you even need to) My uncle has 270k on his 97 Powerstroke and it still runs like a top. Sure, he's had to do some work here and there, but the bottom end is all still factory, so it would probably take a long time to spend that 5 grand if you drove your truck nice. |
