Clutch pedal/linkage/switch problem

Posted in general and no one responded. It seems that the clutch pedal had been depressed to far causing it to hit the nuetral saftey switch. That thing exploded into pieces at the same time the bushing from the cable that attaches to the clutch pedal broke into a million pieces a caused the cable to come off the arm. Needless to say I was stuck on the side of the road without a clutch. So, I bought a new switch and a bushing. All back together but it seems the pedal is still allowed to travel to far.

Is there a stop I am missing? Is there adjustment somewhere to decrease the amount of travel needed to engage the clutch? Also there is no snap ring or clip to hold the linkage together on the clutch pedal.

Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated...

Thank you in advance
Melvin
