can someone confirm that if I hold the torque converter vertical I should only be able to rotate the input shaft clockwise. I'm under the impression that the one way clutch should lock up counter clockwise? I do believe I have a torque converter problem. Mine rotates both ways. Thanks.

Anyone? I really need to get this running with the least amount of $ spent. If i can get by with a torque converer only and it will last another year I'll be set.

Thanks,
Jason

well got er apart. The clip that holds the intermediate cylinder spring plate broke. And the inexpensive OD planetary stripped right out.
Upgraded the planetary to steel with an upgraded input shaft. Needed help with the OD clip so I talked to the local trans guy and asked if I could pay him to put the clip in. HE said no just bring it down and he'd do it for free. We got it together and she works killer... $830 in parts later but much better than going to the shop...About 9 hours in the R&R of the trans. Not counting the bracket I welded up to hold it in the floor jack.
About 7-8 hours rebuilding the trans. I'm no expert but the ATSG manual is Very straight forward, if you have the tools.

Thanks

Jason
