Tranny issue...Sprag?....upgrade parts?

2000 f350 7.3 4x4

Okay, i was being dumb and my back wheels were spinning way faster than my front, heard a lil noise truck felt funny. went to drive off and it feels like no second gear. it reves to 3k take foot off gas and it shifts. Went to tranny shop they couldnt find any codes, he drove it said either a sprag or a spring in the valve body.
Now hers the wierd part. I was driving to the next tranny shop for a second opinion, and nobody would let me over in traffic so i floored it, it reved up mad loud noise and jerked, then the tranny started to shift normal again, took it to tranny shop he found a 1 2 code(shifting wrong between 1st and 2nd?) he cleared it, drove the truck and said it seemed normal, rescaned it no codes.
NOW i drove it for a few hours and it seemed normal unless i got on it kinda hard it would jerk a lil. Then a guy reved his motor at me at a stop light and my DUMBA$$ raced him, didnt make it far before 1st gear reved out and i was back to the orig problem of not wanting to **** out of 1st gear.

Whats goin on with my truck?

If i have a total rebuild what should i upgrade?
One tranny guy said a shift kit is just as good as valve body, why is he wrong?

Don't just do a shift kit, if you have damaged any of your clutches it will only enhance the problem. If your truck is fairly stock you can have a shop do a R&R with a clutch upgrade and a billet torque converter or you can go all the way with an ATS, BTS, Suncoast or a NADP tranny

From the way you described things it sounds like your rear diff speed sensor might be on its way out

truck has dp-tuner, regulated fuel system form itp, in tank kit, intake and exhaust with more to come.

If i have someone do complete rebuild what would yall use?

the one shop is saying just use a shift kit(tugger kit?) instead of JW valve body because its just as good, is that rues,

also i wanted bts TQ but he sayshe uses 2 disc billet, which works goog

Wouldnt that throw some kinda code the Modis woulda picked up?
