Hey guys,
99 4R100 with 110,00 miles and starting running a little hot. I haul an Overhead Camper and a Boat, but just had the camper this time but I was climbing big hills between Silverton and Durango Colorado. Temp climbed to 210 and stayed there even on the down side of the mountain for several miles. It did finally cool to 165-75f towards the bottom and was fine for the rest of the way home to Albuquerque. Thinking by-pass valve, in-line filter etc...but I'm also considering another or a bigger tranny cooler. Looking for suggestions on size/brand or cooler and whether or not to go with an electric fan option... Help! |

210 is borderline on too hot. I would upgrade to the 6.0 Trans cooler. Its pretty much a direct bolt in replacement for the 7.3 cooler and its way bigger
