Where do I check/add transmission fluid?

Where do i check or add the transmisson fluid on my 1993 7.3 IDI factory turbo with a 5 speed. Ive looked everywhere and im also a noob.

Did you crawl under the truck and look for a plug on the side of your transmission? It'll either be a protruding square plug for a wrench or a recessed square plug for a ratchet.

i crawled under it and found the bolt on the driver side i think. im gonna take it to school and check it out at the shop tomorow and find where to add more. but thanks for the help

That is where you check the level and where you add the gear lube.. the one up on the side, not the bottom one. Just stick your finger in and if you touch oil , you're full. If not, get yourself a bottle of gear lube with a tip on it and squeeze some in until it runs out.. not the neatest, cleanest thing to do but it's effective.
