Tranny Issues

Ive got a 2000 F350 dually 7.3

I had a leak in the front seal, so I dropped the tranny and replaced the seal. When I put back in it would no longer switch out of 2nd gear, sometimes it acts like it wants to but does not. So I had the tranny rebuilt and replaced the Torque converter, and replaced the black shift box on the drivers side of tranny (PRNDL switch???)

No help.

I pull a 9k Hydroseeder and have a job at the end of the week with no way to pull my machine, so im needing to get this thing fixed right away but would rather stay away from the stealership if possible. Any Ideas???

not tryiing to hijack your thread but just had a question. my tranny is leaking from around tq cover just haven't had time to take teh cover off. how hard is it to change teh front seal by chance.. and how much in parts. thanks

seal was about 10 bucks. and 30 bucks to rent a tranny jack. If you have decent mechanic skills then its fairly simple. Just make sure you get a big enough tranny jack

is it an auto tranny? just an idea... but did you hook the shift linkage back up properly?
