tranny will not go into reverse .. HELP

truck will not engage in reverse... all other gears seem to do fine but reverse will not catch. I checked the fluid and it was good. dont know if the tranny has took a crap on me or what? any help will be very much appreciated

Sounds like a reverse reaction drum (sun shell) is broken.

You're looking at a tranny tear down. Probably wouldn't hurt to get a second opinon, but that sure sounds like what it is and what it is going to take.
