07 f250 troubles

After the trany warms up going down the road the trany will clunk and then rev up to about 2800 and the tow haul light comes on and flashes. There is no power in the bottom end! Replaced the speed sensor on the adapter plate And that seemed to have fixed the problem for two weeks and then it started acting up again 2 weeks later. I was told this weekend that my overdrive is going out?!!?

Usually when it revs up and catches or inadvertently slips out of gears when shifting, it is because of a failing drum, which means the clutch packs and steels are burnt up and not catching.
