02 7.3 6spd clutch snafu!

Ok, any help here would be greatly appreciated. I have owned this truck about 3 months now and have had nothing but great things to say about it. However... today at lunch I grabbed reverse to leave and when I tried to put it in first it was like the clutch wasn't engaged all the way. (kept chugging in reverse. these things just wont stall) I killed the motor with the key, jammed it in neutral and tried again. Drove as normal for 10-12 shifts. Then the same thing again. 10-12 normal shifts stuck again. Is this a hydraulic issue? I cant see a hydraulic problem being intermittent. There were NO noises from the clutch-tranny at any time.

Sorry for the long post.
Again any help would be great!

yes its sounds like a issue with the slave cylinder.. that's the only thing i can think of that will make the clutch not disengage
