Now I'm not sure if this is a tranny issue or a motor is ue so I will explain. First off motor sign just came on while driving along with the wrench symbol. Although the book says "limp home mode" I felt no difference in power but the truck was sucking in a massive amount air, the tranny gadge was also non functional. I was not pulling anything nor do I drive the truck hard. Yesterday I did do an oil change and fuel filter change and red tint was found on motor filter (was mostly determined farm gas from a leading gas companies here in town but can not verify). I drove it to a friends house to let it cool down. After sitting for an hour or so truck seemed to be fine (engine light was still on, wrench was not) afteter a few minutes wrench came on, air starting to suck a massive amount and symptoms returned. Any ideas?
All fluid levels are ok, tranny fluid not burnt, shifts as normal.
