V10 and PSD have the same bellhousing for auto?????

I'm looking for a auto trans to go in my 2000 F550 with a 7.3 and I found an auto out of a 2000 with a V10 are they the same??? thanks for any help in advance.

I think they both got the 4r100 but the governor on the trans will be different. I think the diesel may have a slightly heavier torque converter.

The torque converter IS different, that's all I know. I couldn't tell you about any of the electronics.

Thanks guys, I think that I would buy a new converter anyway. Anyone else have any input???

If it works minus the T/C then I'd upgrade the T/C and valve body and call it a day!

I thought that the 5.4L, 6.0L, 6.4L, and the 6.8L were the same bell housing bolt pattern. The diesel and v10 have 6 bolt torque converter, 5.4 has a 4 bolt. As far as 7.3, I swear it was different.
