Help Please Clutch/ Slave

sorry this might be kinda long but bare with me.

just changed the oil get in my truck to back out of the garage and it wont go in gear...any gear. (truck info in sig). i look at my oil res. under the hood for the clutch and its low so i add a little fluid..truck still wont go in gear. i pull the slave cylinder off the tranny and it moves with the clutch...with the slave in the tranny it has back presure from the fork so i know its pushing the fork....had to limp it home without the clutch.... im at a loss so any help would be greatly apreaciated!! thanks

First, where did the fluid go? Could the Slave or Master be going bad and leaking fluid past the seals?

Next, you could have air in the system and, even though it seems to be moving some, air doesn't have the power to compress the clutch. How low was it?

Bleeding a slave can sometimes be a pain (I think it's because the air goes up the line so easily because they're on top of one another) and what I do is to force the fluid into the Slave and push the air back out the Master if I'm having a hard time.

So, maybe look at the master (where the pedal rod goes in) for fluid and the same for the slave, then try to bleed the system (reverse if you can) to see if that will fix it.

thanks for responding. Ive got some updates. Ive bled the whole system and now the pedal is really hard to push in at this point...im thinking its more invloled then just the slave. Im wondering if my fork broke...when i stick my fingers in the hole where the slave cyl. Goes i can baerely touch the fork. And it seems to be too far for the slave to even push it. And that maybe why its hard to push the clutch now?
