99 7.3 torque converter/tranmission issues
i have a 99 f450 7.3 2 wheel drive automatic that acts and drives fine at low speeds around the neighborhood and around town but acts up when coming from higher speeds (50+) to under 20mph. it shifts fine on highway and runs great until you exceed that 50mph and want to try and stop. the engine wants to die once you try to come to a complete stop and transmission wants to continue to push. if the can manage to get to a stop by putting it into nuetral before the motor dies then you can shift into reverse and then shift back into od with everything acting like normal.
what it seems like is the torque converter is hanging up coming from higher speeds which is when it kicks in to lower speeds and not disengaging.
no warning lights, no od lights flashing, no codes...
is there anything on the transmission or tc that can be electrical but not showing an lights on the dash?
trans flush help at this point or valves or solenoid or anything?
anyone got anything?
