******TRANS WENT BANGGGG*****HELP!!!

OK, SO I JUST BOUGHT A 2000 F250 7.3 4x4 IN FEBRUARY. IT ALWAYS KINDA SHIFTED INTO SECOND FIRM/HARD. WAS LEAVING A STOP SIGN TODAY AND HEARD A BANGGGGG AND LOST ALL GEARS. COASTED TO A STOP AND TRIED ALL GEARS AND NOTHIN. EVEN PUT IT INTO 4WD AND STILL WON MOVE. IS IT MY TRANS OR A FRIEND SAID HIS BOSSES TRUCK HAD THE CHAIN BRAKE IN HIS SUPER DUTY. WHERE DO I START???????????? NEW TO FORDS AND DIESELS...... HELP PLEASE

I just had the same happen to my 99, Going to my transmission guy but I have been told it is a shaft or something to that affect between transmission and transfer case. Not sure if that helps .

Well if 4wd won't work, it's something before the TC I'd think.

Yeah thought the same But one guy it was his truck and that was the problem and the other guy has done more transmission work than most people could imagine not counting all of my vehicles.
