96 F250 7.3 speedometer control shift poins?

My speedometer went out and now my transmission shifts super hard and the O/D indicator light blinks... Wtf is goin on? do I need to rebuild my Trans? Fluid level is fine. no leaks. new filter recently... i dont know. help would be appreciated.

VSS (variable speed sensor) in the rear end. Right on top of the differential, has a two prong plug in it. I believe the bolt is a 9/16, just go down to the parts store and get one, should fix ya!

Diff speed sensor fixed it right up! much appreciated! however, guy at oreily's said that there is also a vehicle speed sensor in the transmission. so I said screw it and bought em both... figured might as well get er done. im "sitting" under my truck and lookin for this sensor and cannot find it. What do you guys have on that???

I don't know off hand on the autos... Is it the same Part number as the rear end one? Keep it for a spare, but if it's driving good now I'd leave it! No problem man that's what we're here for!
