Transmission getting "stuck"

Hey guys and gals,

New to the site. Looks great so far. Lots of good info. Well I have an 04 F350 with the TorqueShift tranny. I have been having a problem for the last couple months where if I really peg it, the transmission seems to get stuck and the truck stops accelerating once the engine hits about 3,000 RPM. To get it to shift, I have to let off and it will up shift and there's a noticeable surge when it does so. It does this in the first 3 gears, haven't been able to floor it and try getting to 3,000 RPM in any gears higher than that. It seems like its a transmission issue, but I could be wrong. Anybody ever see anything like this before?

Thanks in advance.
