Tranny Noise Shifting into OD?
Hey all,
First Post, glad to be here. I just bought a 2005 F-250 CC 4x4 LB with the auto trans. Have not had any problems til this weekend when towing my 8,000 lb camper. On return trip I noticed that when transmission shifted into O/D it was making a wierd noise almost sounds like a mudflap rubbing or a rough whoosh noise, yet no mudflaps on truck and noise coming from directly underneath driver or center of truck. Any ideas? Truck is stock with about 89000 miles on her. Did not seem to have any performance issues. I have yet to perform my baseline service since purchase of all fluids and filters, just simply have not had time. Thanks in advance for the help...... Ed |
