Trannie issues on 04 6.0 4x4

I have started noticing a few thing going on with my 04 f250 6.0, first off when driving somtimes there is a loud humming noise that come through the floor and also when driving on the highway doing like 65 or so if i hit the throttle and it goes to the kickdown gear sometime it feels like it not going any faster but the RPM's climb like it is other times it will react like it should and actually go. the truck is completely stock and has about 174k on it. any information you can provide on these issues will be greatly appreciated!

A lot of people complain about the buzzing issue. As far as I know, the FICM makes a very noticble buzzing sound, and gets faster and higher with engine speed. As far as RPM going up and speed staying the same, are you sure its not just the lag? Your foot is always faster than a computer.

i had some mods done in january, but one thing didnt do...so expensive, was tranny. sometimes reverse works and sometimes it doesnt. first second and third gear usually work, anything after just doesnt move much, but rpms will sky rocket if i barely tap throttle. just have to go less than 30 and it will be okay, gonna have it checked out in couple days, trying to hurry and do quick somewhat cheap fix..gotta drive 6 hrs, and my other truck doesnt work lol. some guys were saying it could possibly need a solenoid upgrade..maybe check in one of those. said bts has some good stuff and guy over there is good to talk with
