96 f 350 strange tranny issue

hello all my name is mike and i thank anyone that has some insight. for the first time ever im having some issuse with my 96 f 350 7.3l diesel 4x4 automatic. I live in the northeast and purchased this truck 11 years ago in mint condition with 60,000 miles. I believe it still has the origional transmission which is now giving me prolbems. the truck now has 192,000 miles. Here are the symptons -1- To drive i must start with the shifter in (1) then when the rpms are up to 3000 i then shift to (2) then again when the rpms are up to 3000 i shift to (D) **this shift bogs sometimes**but then i get up to speed and rpms to shift to (OD) and now im at highway speeds and maintaining speed. -2- When im in the city driving and i need to drop down to second gear. -3- when in (4 low) it shifts extremely hard from (1) to (2). -4- reverse works fine. thank you for your time i would love to fix this prolbem on my own i
