trans seems to be slipping..
ok so this is an issue im extremely concerned about and i want to see what you all think before i go any further, its a 95 f350 2wd OSD dually, it has a brand new transmission and TC from jasper, now since i got the truck it seemed to "slide" into gears, no jumping ro anythign, so i assumed it seemed normal, so im going down the highway and i go to pass someone and i get on teh throttle, i now realize my trans is slipping some, so knowing this trans is newly rebuilt, and i doesnt slip much, i head home and hit up my lucas products stock i have in teh garage, i fill it with a bottle of transmission fix and take it for a spin, now it shifts flawlessly, goes right into gear no hesitation or anything, perfect. so im stoked, now i go in eat, get a shower then i head out to get some smokes, now my trans starts to act up again but once it gets some heat its perfect again, oto me, it seems like the bands are slipping, and maybe out of adjustment from jasper, is there a way to adjust the transmission bands on these externally? kind of like the old school c4 trannies? or is this a PCM issue that is making it slack its shift points when cold until some heat from teh motor warms the pcm up (its 30 degrees here) trannies are not my forte, and if it is blown im jsut going to go 5 speed, its cheaper to replace clutches then whole trannies.. please dont flame me for using the lucas stuff, i swear by it and its definitely made my trans shift liek it was new, however, im concerned about how it will do when i need to haul, so my biggest thing is can i adjuyst the bands externally?

ok now im stumped... i jsut went out and the trans is functioning perfectly, could my driving on the highway at 75mph @ 2400 rpm for about 5 miles have heated it up enough to wehre the line pressures were too low to engage reverse? idk im about to jsut pull this trans and get it rebuilt, for make the truck 5 speed.

since i seem to be talking to myself, ill keep on sounding like im crazy, i had a few shops looka t my truck and they are telling me 2200 to 2400 to rebuild it, now i knwo this is an insanely high price. so i had gotten a quote for a reman from my local autozone, under my company account it is 1350.00 with a 600 dollar core. it has a 3 year 30k warranty, does anyone have any experience/comments about a trans purchase from an autozone or advance auto?
