Help with linkage
Hello, Can anyone tell me how to adjust my linkage ? I have a 2001 deisel superduty F250 Automatic and my shift lever does not go all the way into park. It will not start in park but I have to put it in nuetral. Any help?

The adjustment is on the end of the cable at the trans but, that's probably not what your problem is. Turn the key on and put the trans in neutral.Get a light and lay in the floorboard looking up under the dash at the steering wheel. Reach up and wiggle the shifter. You'll see an aluminium arm that hooks to the shifter on one end and the shifter shaft on the other. There are 2 bolts that hold the aluminum arm to the shifter shaft. They are probably loose. |
