Trans Question, Im clueless

SO i have posted here a while back about my 05 f350 auto trans. It wont go anywhere. SO ive been told suncoast would be the ideal pleace to go, but im not rolling in the doe. Im from the cincinnati area and i was wondering if it would be cheaper to buy a reman or to have it done at a local shop. limit is 2500. Any ideas?

I can't recall how much a BTS tranny is, but I hear his warranty is 2nd to none, especially suncoast.
