Slave Cylinder HELP!!!
put my new clutch in this weekend and in the process of putting everything back together i managed to break something in the slave cylinder. so i went out a bought a new slave from NAPA and i cant seem to get everything to bleed right. Its not building pressure and theres no back pressure to the clutch pedal
any help is appreciated Thanks! |

i remember having this issue on a truck. There is a pin you have to push on the slave cylinder i believe? I will try to locate the proper way to do it

Here's the secret to bleeding a slave, because the master is located directly above the slave it's often hard to get the air out because the fluid gravity feeds straight down and passes the air as it does (leaving air in the line)
So, to make gravity work with you, force the fluid in from the bottom and let that push the air up & out into the master. I use a large syringe full of brake fluid connected to the bleeder with a hose and Push the fluid in. You may need to have the clutch pedal pushed down a bit to uncover the port in the master... Good Luck! You'll be surprised how fast you get a pedal doing it this way
