Question trans had a... moment.

is it possible for my computer on my truck to have had a temp. glich and clear its self out after shutdown/restart? i was cruising at about 30 (and i did not allow enough warm up time, but it was already warm.) and all of a sudden the motor is running fine but it felt as if i was in neutral. i backed off and gave it a few sec. and then re-engaged and it started going. i wanted to further investigate so i took off base to a road and ran it up to about 60ish and after a few moments it did it again. same deal. it felt like it wasnt spooling up like it should and it was dumping air when it shouldnt. it just seemed to ride rough. i shut it down and gave a few minutes. when i started it up it seemed to be doing better/good. now i am peranoid that somethingis wrong and everything sounds off. but when i let it idle in the parking lot it sounds fine. giving it some gas in neutral and it sounds fine. i have no idea. i got a buddy who is a diesel mech and knows this stuff but he works on firetrucks mainly. i mentioned it to him, but i was going wait til' the AM for him to look at it. if y'all got any ideas that wouldbe swell. no, i did not get any codes and i do have a banks bullet on it. its a 01 7.3 with 65k on it. it has been baby except for the last week or so. (i have been driving a little harder than normal, but nothing crazy just a little bumpy road action and chirping tires here and there.) thanks for any help. i am not a diesel mech by any standards. so thanks.]
