94 e350 7.5

I have a 94 e350 with a 7.5 diesel auto trans with screwed up overdrive button. Recently while stopping at a redlight the truck boggs down and stalls (unless I shift it into Neutral) it also chugs when slowing down, speratlcaly makes a rattling noise.

Any ideas???

Torque converter staying locked. Could be converter or solenoid.

where would the solenoid be located? If its the soleoid do you think I might be able to run brake fluid threw to clean it out?

I dont know if these are some how related, but the ABS and brake light stay on and the od button is broken
