so today i drove it w/o overdrive until i got to cruising speed then switched OD on so it would shift right, and now tonight i was idling in the driveway in park and the OD light started flashing,
whats this it my tranny going out? help i need to drive about 100mi tomorow and i dont want to screw up the tranny anymore |

The OD light flashing means you have a tranny code. Scan for codes and you could find out what's going on.

can any scantool be used? or is it need to be a special tranny scanner

Any scanner that works with your truck will work. I use the snap on brick.
