05 6.0 goes in gear but only 4th

My truck wouldn't start by key so I started it with the solenoid cross over and when I drove it the tranny jerked into reverse and jerked into drive but when its in drive the only gear I have is 4th i believe. Maybe third. Its and automatic and I'm not sure exactly what type. Any ideas?

I have an edge evolution, got it friday. It read my trans fluid temp but now says N/A. I'm thinkin its something electrical. Also I replaced two fuses I found that were blown under the dash. None in the engine compartment fuse box. I don't have a manual so I don't have a diagram to go by to know what fuses are what.

Thank you. This should help some of my already existing confusion. Also to add some more my tow haul doesn't work nor my cruise control, most likely due to the transmision but wouldn't it throw a code?
