Tire Pressure
Trying to decipher all the info out there on proper tire pressures. My truck is a 2004 F350 4x4 Dually. I have on her new Michellin 235/85r16 load range E tires.
According to the door sticker, I should run 65 psi front and 55 for the dual rears. We just bought a 5th wheel that weighs in at over 13k and I want to make sure about the tire PSI. I'm tempted to bring all 6 tires to 70psi. Looking for input/suggestions. Bottom line - - looking for that sweet spot between great tire wear (this set cost me $1430 so I need them to last) and the best fuel MPG that I can get - - not to mention safety. |

I rund 50 psi in my rear tires but my 5er is only 9k lbs. For a 13k lb 5er, i would probably run 60-65 psi in the rear...70 might be overkill. You should not see a buldge (maybe a minimal one) in the tire where it meets the road when they are properly inflated.
I keep 70 in the fronts. |
