I'm pulling a Raptor 3612DS with F-250 4.5 lift and 35's and air bags. The 5er is lifted as well for clearance, no problems as of yet, tow's very well.
Depends on whom you talk to of course, some would think otherwise but it works for me up here in AK, some camping areas are pretty hairy and the extra clearance works to my advantage.

Good luck.

I had to put a 5” lift on my camper just so I could pull it with my stock height early99 which is about 2” higher than any 99.5-03 I’ve seen.
So I’d say it has more to do with your trailer than your truck and you got to consider if you’ll ever need to pull any other trailers. I’d love to lift mine but then it would cause me to be unable to tow my camper or my cargo trailer.
