Need Help Moving Broken F350

I have a 2003 SD Short Box Crew Cab 4x4 that is Broken and need to tow it home about 500 miles. Anyone know what size trailer I need to rent to move my truck home. Will a car Dolly work? Thanks for your help.

it's too wide and heavy for a u-haul dolly

an 18' flatdeck that is 10,000lbs GVW will work fine. i don't think u-haul has one big enough. you might need to rent one from a heavy equipment dealer

8000 lb capacity trailer plus vehicle and fuel to pull it, very $$$. Long-distance tow truck w/ roll-back bed, very $$$. Car dolly also $$$ may not be rated for weight of SD, but if so, take out your driveshaft so you don't overheat the transmission. Auto transport service could do it, but again, very $$$. Best to probably fix the truck (which has to be done anyway) then drive it home. There are also threads where other PSD / and diesel bloggers haul stuff for each other. Where is it located and where does it need to go?

It's too wide and heavy for a dolly. I think they're only rated for 4000lbs and 6' wide. My tacoma barely fit on one and 33" tires were too tall for the straps.
