Slide in camper questions
Questions for the RV experienced.
With a 2001 F-250 crew cab short box what size of slide in Camper am I limited to? What are pros /cons of having tailgate down, can I fit in a longer camper? Do campers of this smaller size ever come equipped with a toilet/shower or at least a toilet? What are the premium/quality names: Slumber Queen, Timberline etc.? What is the situation with the older 70-80's campers, apparently they don't fit in newer truck beds? |

With a short box pickup you are most likely limited to an 8.5 slide in camper. On the newer models, you need to take off the tailgate, I am not sure about the older ones. I have had 2 and loved them! I had a S & S Camper and an Arctic Fox. Check out rvtrader.com to find some. Lance is also a big name.
Good luck! |
