yes -a single car will never catch the eye of DOT unless it has a dealer tag and stickers in the window, but as long as it is your car ,they can not say anything but mostly because the GVWR on the single hauler will not be over 8K - I have a single car that I use to run just 1 car here and there to keep the fuel cost down of hauling the 3 car around for just 1. I even have blown through weigh stations with it because even with the truck stickered with commercial numbers and plates, it never gets a second look - so far. But I have a 80 Z28 that I have had for 16 yrs and I haul it to Gattlingurg every year in Sep for the Rod Run with not even a cross look from DOT. I hope this makes it more clear. Dot is out to get the person who does not know they are in the wrong, ignorance is no excuse -heard it several times, therefore just be ready for anything if pulling a big trailer ,even if it empty.
