Thanks a bunch. I really appreciate it. I have been busting my butt to get this thing off the ground. Trying to dot all the i's and cross all the t's is the hardest part. Nothing but paperwork, and more money to the government.

Thanks a bunch.

The wood deck was the only thing available for that type of trailer. I didn't have a metal deck option. Some of the companies that run larger machine have wood decks and it's not a problem. I figured that by the time the wood starts to rot, I will have grown the business enough put everything on a 450 or 550 chassis cab. Maybe even one of those Isuzu diesel trucks. Just have to see when the time comes.

You know, I never really considered a gooseneck. With the frequency that I would have the water tank full I didn't think it was going to be neccesary for a gooseneck. Plus the cost would have been quite a bit more. I also would have had to add the hitch in the bed.

They built the trailer for me without the dovetail and without the ramps. So it's weighed in at 1950lbs. It's super light for what it is. Here in Florida anything under 2k pounds isn't titled so I don't have pay according to weight. It cost me $50 to register the trailer for 2 years. I think the gooseneck would have been much more.

Thank you for the well wishes.

The advantage I have here in Florida is that pressure washing can be done year round. No snow, no freezing weather to worry about. Only hurricanes. I am also working on getting commercial work. That way I get contracts for work and I will have a more reliable income instead of just doing residential work.

It is good, but the bad part is what you stated. There're a dime a dozen. Some good, some bad. It's the bad ones that really kill us try to do professional work. They come in with their $300 Home Depot pressure washer and do a whole house and driveway for $45 just to get their beer money. It takes them 4 hours and they do a crappy job. So then when us professional guys come through they want to know why is so expensive when they can get "the other guy" for much cheaper. It's hard to explain that you get what you pay for. Most of the cheap guys just come in harsh chemicals to do the job and end up killing anything near what's being cleaned. The customer also doesn't care about the type of equipment you have and how well it will allow us to do the job, they just see the dollar amount. Only when it's too late do they figure it out.

That's why it's all about doing a good job at a fair price to get referals, and to get contract work. Then you know that you are going to a certain location X times a year to do work and the price has already been settled upon.
