Truck Tug-O-War

What kind of stuff do I need to be aware of before entering a tug-o-war. I am thinking of entering one this upcoming weekend. Supposedly it is all gassers but if a Diesel or a high HP gasser shows up what do I do? I would hate to enter and embarass myself any feed back would be appreciated.

Thanks

Don't break traction and spin your tires. Then your done. On the other hand, wait for them to break traction, and take off and don't stop till they start crying

4 wheel low is used many times, but I am sure 4x4 high could be used too. The higher the hitch, the better. If you can pick up on their truck, you can pull them like a wrecker. You have a pretty heavy truck, so that is a plus too.

It is going to be on Asphalt and knowing where I am going they will consider my truck a low rider. Does that change anything? Also it will be at least 90 degrees if not hotter.

I will keep that in mind. I think if I ever felt the back 4 hopping I would shut it down regardless. That is just scary.

The higher the hitch, the better, so make sure yours is even if they are lifted.

The other thing I was wondering about was should I roll into the go pedal or firewall it?

I would say roll into it because you do not want to spin your tires. If you spin, you are done. Just be patient, and wait for them to start spinning.

Got it. Thanks to the advice I am going to enter. I may lose but at least I will try. I will try to get the wife to get video. We will see.
