Can my F350 tow this 5th wheel?
I have a 99 F350 Powerstroke 7.3 and haven't had any problems towing a 5th wheel that has GVWR of about 10,000LB.
But I am looking to upgrade to a bigger 5th wheel. I looked for the GVWR of this bigger 5th wheel, but all I could find is "WEIGHT Per TITLE: 12,200". Is that supposed to be the GVWR? The GVWR of my diesel truck is 9900LB according to the sticker on the door inside. How heavy of a fifth wheel can I tow? |

Sure thing you can tow it. I had a buddy of mine tow a backhoe and a bed full of sandbags and crap with his f-250 460 gasser. He could peak 35 going up hills.
I'm sure you can tow it... |

the gvwr of your truck is NOT the tow rating. 9900lb GVWR means that the weight of your truck plus passengers and cargo can not exceed 9900lbs. 5th wheel tow rating for your truck is probably around 15 or 16k. and yes..the 12,200 gvwr of the trailer is the max weight of the trailer. youll be fine

I found out that 12,200 was the unloaded rate of the trailer.
The max weight is something like 14,500... So my F350 should be OK. |

You would like towing it much more with some mods...
Is the truck a true 99, or a 99.5? |
