Need help finding trailer brake controller connector.
Awesome site ya'll!
I have a 2008(build date of 9/07) F350 that doesn't have the oem brake controller option so I need to install one. I have looked and looked for the trucks controller connector and have not seen it yet. I pulled the center trim panel back and didn't see it there either. I even bought 2 different harness adaptors to be safe. Are one of these the right one? ![]() Thanks! |

I think I have answered my own question. Neither one of the harnesses I have is correct. There is one more that is the right one and the truck's plug is behind the plate where the factory controller would go.
Back to the parts store.

The one on the left there is for the older fords, only know that cause I have the same one. My controller came off my buddies 1 ton chevy.
We couldn't find the stupid plug either, they had it hidden way back there where you could hardly reach it. |

![]() According to the wiring diagram this is what the connector should look like. |

And the one on the right is for the 05 to 07 trucks. Is located behind where the integrated brake controller would be.
