under bumper harness

tying to replace the 7pin harness, as it was crushed by previous owner.

started checking the lights at the harness after i cut the bad 7pin off. got a couple written down. then thought i would check the connector under the bumper, it was slightly green and corroded, so i put some diaeletric grease in there.......now there is NO POWER!???? wha? even checking for power right at the connector under the bumper, its all gone! checked all fuses under dash, as i dont have a manual. two dont have power on either side, 15ampers. the fuses are not blown. and its not the two spares at the bottom.

anything else i can be missing before i take it to u-haul and get raped?

its a 2000 excursion

7-way - 7 pole RV Travel Trailer Connector Wiring Color Code is what I used to find the wiring colors, but I don't know if the ford factory wiring matches that, give it a try though. For future reference, i kept hitting the factory connector on stuff too so I cut a hole in my bumper and mounted the 7-pin in my bumper to the left of my license plate so i don't bend the bracket and crush the connector anymore. Short of a car accident, its protected now.
