? About Pullin' a 5th Wheel
Hey guys quick question that I'm sure has been addressed but I'm kind of in a hurry so I'm sorry. My boss has an '08 stroke w/ a 4" lift and 35's. My question is that he's got me looking for a 5th wheel for him but he's concerned that he won't be able to pull it with his truck sitting how it is and does NOT want to take the lift off just to pull this trailer. Are any of you guys running similar setups and what modifications (if any) have you had to make to do so?
Thanks guys, and sorry again about the repeat ? |

Unless the trailer is really low you shouldn't have a problem! If the trailer is low just do an axle flop on the trailer! Try to keep at least 5" clearance in between the trailer & bed side! My brother has a dodge with a 6" lift & 37"s & he pulls a 5th wheel toy hauler with no mods to the trailer!

I've got 8 inches and 37's on my superduty. I just pulled my 40 foot fifth wheel from missouri to arizona and back had no problems. He may have to adjust the hitch up and down alil just to get the clearance.

Did any of you all have to modify your campers to pull them? Reason I ask I had to lift mine to do so, just wondering if you all had to do the same?
